Having a wedding on the beach can be one of the most romantic settings, provided a hurricane doesn’t come rolling through. But still, it can be a touching experience: to hear the waves crashing against the shore, seeing the sun peak over the horizon creating the soft colors in the sky, and to smell the fresh clean air the ocean breeze provides. While breathing in the atmosphere around you, you look up and see the love of your life standing before you waiting to proclaim him self as eternally yours. What a memory to forever cherish. Ah, it is the big day for your best friend. Have you written your toast or are you going to play the gutsy move and just “see how it goes?” Well, to that I say, “Good luck to you!” For those of you who are playing it smart and need a little guidance so you don’t mess it up, here are a few tips for you: First of all, consider how you met the groom. Was there an interesting story on how you met? What was the groom like way back when? Take the time to really contemplate all the details you can think of about the groom. You don’t have to make the whole toast heart-felt and mushy-gushy. Think of quick, funny stories. Now think about how you met the bride. What was she like at first? Are there any humorous anecdotes you could share? At the beginning of your speech, be sure to thank the appropriate people hosting the ceremony. Introduce yourself and start with how you met the bride and groom. It is important to balance each topic on the bride and groom both. Throw in funny stories, however, make sure they aren’t humiliating. What you can find hilarious, they might find offensive. Include your thoughts of marriage and your well wishes for the couple. Wrap it up with a few inspiring thoughts and congratulations. Raise your glass and toast… don’t forget to drink your own toast!

After the long grueling process of planning for a wedding, every bride and every groom are entitled to a night of relaxation and fun! They need to celebrate for the days to come and the end to being single. Now, where to have it? Who should be invited? More importantly, what does it entail? The bachelorette party does not have to be as formal as the bridal shower; actually, it is highly encouraged that it isn’t. The point is to let loose and have a girl’s night out leaving the stress at home. Also, you do not need to invite the same people to the party as those you invited to the bridal shower. Invite those you are closest to, so your bridesmaids will more than likely be on the guest list, the bride, obviously, and whoever else you wish to include. But the idea is so be with those you are most comfortable with. Where you have it is completely up to you. You could keep it at your home and play fun bachelorette games, you could make it a trip to see a show, or even out to dinner. Another idea would be to make it a bar-crawl. Visit your favorite clubs or bars. And again, the idea is to be comfortable and have a blast! Be creative, have a wonderful time, and let loose!
