One of the best parts about being a bridesmaid is planning the bachelorette party. The participating bridesmaids as well as the bride herself look forward to the occasion. But with the bachelorette party, the planning of it might be a little difficult. There are so many options as to what the night could entail, and yet you do not know where to even start. You want to make it as fun as you possibly can for the bride, and you do not want to miss out on anything you could have done.
The first thing you want to consider is the demeanor of the bride. Is she mellow, is she on the wild side, does she embarrass easily or can she make a fool of herself and still have a great time? If she is on the mellow side and she does embarrass easily, then you will want to keep it low-key even though you as a bridesmaid are the opposite. It is not about the bridesmaids and what their interests are, even though you want them to have fun as well. It is about the bride and showing her a good time, whatever that means to her. For those mellow girls, plan for a day at the spa or a girl’s night watching movies and playing Truth or Dare like you used to do back before high school. As for those wild-child bride, plan for a bar crawl or a Scavenger Hunt through town.
One tip to remember though: if after you have planned everything, the bride becomes uncomfortable or really would rather opt to not do what you have planned, always provide an alternate plan of attack. You want to keep her happy and keep her comfortable. Try your hardest not to plan things that are outside of her comfort zone. This is her bachelorette party. This is her night. So make it the best for her.
